CBH -- Alginate is a natural colloid that is extracted from brown seaweed. It was formed by alginic acid in kelp-like Phaeophyceae and minerals in the sea water. It has very high viscosity and performs well as a thickening agent in food industry. It can substitute Guar gum and Pectin and be applied to a variety of foods, especially to fruit jam and fillings.

 

Features:

1. Extremely high viscosity and brilliant thickening performance;

2. Long validity of the thickening effect in the final products, the thickening effect is better as the time goes.

3. Comparing with the common alginates, the product has better acid resistance. It can be used in the circumstance which pH value can be higher than 3.5.
